JMACES Bonfire Night, 26th December

JMACES , The Jesus and Mary Assocication of Convent Ex-Students, is celebrating the 136th Birthday of CJM, Lahore on the 26th of December, 2012. 

There is a live DJ in attendance, and lots of food items on sale to make the evening an enjoyable one to remember.  

The Sisters from all houses across Pakistan will be here for the Christmas celebrations and will be attending.

All past pupils are invited. All senior section students are invited.

Time: 6pm to 9 pm

Prof.Dr Christian Troll SJ visits CJM Lahore

Honorary Professor of Islam and Christian-Muslim encounter, Father Prof.Dr Christian Troll SJ visited CJM Lahore on the 21st of November, 2012. Prof. Troll touched the very important issue of Pluralism and the conflicts faced by the youth of today. He addressed teachers from all sections belonging to all faiths. He impressed upon the educators the importance of empathy and how it should be developed in all of us so we understand others as we would be liked to be understood ourselves. A fruitful discussion ensued, based on the participants' questions, and Prof. Troll inspired all participants with his vast knowledge, experience and amazing language skills in Urdu, Persian and Arabic.

A Memorial Service

A Memorial Service 

in the memory of 

Mrs Christina Sagnier,

beloved mother of Sr Pilar Vila San Juan

was held on Friday the 31st of August, 2012 in the Marian Hall, CJM Lahore

Religious Sisters of Jesus and Mary, students, teachers and parents attended the service. Sr Marie Cecile presented a eulogy in the memory of the departed soul. Prayers were read out quoting from the Holy Bible as well as the Holy Quran by the students and the teachers of CJM Lahore. A power point presentation prepared by the Thevenet Centre,on the visit of Mrs Christina to Lahore,was also presented. 

Hymns were presented in English, Urdu and Punjabi.
