Participation in SUPARCO's World Space Week 2013

Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO) celebrated the World Space Week in October, 2013. Accompanied by Ms Saba Ahsan, CJM Senior School participated in Declamation and the Science Quiz.
Wisha Tahir 10A competed in the Urdu Declamation, Misha Anwar 10A in the English Declamation and a young team of Mina Karim 8B and Minal Zaman 8A took part in the Science Quiz.
This was a wonderful learning experience for all the participants. Teams from all over the country took part and the CJM Quiz team managed to reach the semi final round. The spirit of competition is alive and the team has already started preparing for next year's event!! Keep up the good work, Science Department!!

CONDEMNATION FOR THE PESHAWAR BLASTS

Prayers for Peace

With a sad and heavy heart we renounce the incident in Peshawar today. They are in our prayers. In solidarity with the Martyrs of the Peshawar blast, Convent of Jesus and Mary, Lahore will remain closed for 3 days. It I'll re open on Thursday, the 26 th.

ALL tests will shift 3 days. So Monday tests will now be held on the 26th, and so on.

GOOD NEWS FOR CJM

MATRICULATION 2012-2013

TOTAL _31__ STUDENTS ,A* _19__ STUDENTS ,

A __8_ STUDENTS ,B __4_ STUDENTS

O LEVEL MAY - JUNE 2012 RESULTS have never been this good.

Out of 68 pupils that appeared,

__6_ pupils got 9 A or A*s, a record number of 26__ pupils got 8 A or A*s , _11_ got 7A ir A*s, and _4_ got 6 A or A*s.

This meant that out of a total of 68 students that appeared for the exams, _47__ received 6 or more A or A*s which means that almost _70_ % of the total class are high achievers!

With 100% As in Add Maths and Food & Nutrition, and ___61____ As in English, another interesting statistic must be shared. Apart from two candidates who had some C grades in their result, between all the grades secured by the other 66 candidates there were ONLY 4 Cs!! All other grades were either A*s, As or Bs!!! This says a lot about the overall success of all the subject teachers and their pupils!! Well done, CJM!

FIVE PUPILS SELECTED IN THE 25 MEMBER JUNIOR YOUTH COUNCIL

The U.S. Consulate General in Lahore decided to launch its first junior youth council.

From a total of 25 young leaders handpicked from a variety of institutions in Pakistan, five CJM students were selected.Based on the youth focus groups, conducted at our school in February, the following students were selected to participate.
